Ghost touch is the digitizer — the transparent grid of sensors laminated to the glass — reporting touches that never happened. It's almost never a software bug, even though a restart sometimes makes it stop for a few hours.
The three usual causes: a hairline crack in the digitizer layer that's invisible to the eye, moisture that's worked its way under the glass, or a loose digitizer connector after a previous repair wasn't seated properly. We check all three with a diagnostic pattern before quoting, rather than guessing.
If it's happening in one screen region only, that's often the easiest sign — it points to physical damage in that spot rather than a connector or firmware issue. Either way, don't keep using a phone with ghost touch near your banking apps.
